After a tough couple of years gambling with Covid, The Ladyboys are thrilled to be returning to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year on 6 th August, with their newest show: Summer of Fun! 1998 was the year it all began for The Ladyboys, with their first ever performance in Edinburgh, it’s definitely a proud moment as they return for the 24 th year consecutively, and to still be such a hit in Scotland! How did ‘The Fringe’ Festival get its name in Edinburgh? The story of the Fringe Festival dates back to 1947 where 8 theatre groups turned up uninvited to perform at ‘Edinburgh International Festival’ which was originally created to celebrate European cultura...

Over the past few months, the brilliant Butlins resorts at Skegness, Bognor Regis and Minehead have become a home away from home for the Gandeys circus cast and, as the end of our time there approaches, we're taking the opportunity to reflect on all the reasons why we love it! So, if you're wondering where to take the family on your next summer break, or just want to reflect on how great of a place it is, we've compiled a list of all the things we love about Butlins! The Redcoats! The super friendly staff are part of what makes Butlins such a great place to be. They double as a great holiday guide as well as wonderful entertainers! Originally, they were dressed in red so they could be seen by visitors easily. Their job description was initially known as: 'friend, philosopher, guide', which we think is very true! Summer is finally upon us! So long to fluffy socks, stuffy noses and cable-knit sweat shirts (for now, anyway) and a very warm welcome to beer gardens, burnt shoulders and busy beaches. Are you sick of the typical English pub clichés, Carling not quenching your thirst? Is your Coke and Rum causing a despairing roll of the eyes in your face region? Well seen as it's summer in what appears to be name more than climate, we thought we would treat you lovely people to some Thai inspired red hot cocktails - courtesy of the Lady Boys of Bangkok . Why not add a splash of colour to your summer?  So this is how it's going to work, first there will be a list of ingredients, then maybe a picture and a short description with some possible puns thrown in for good measure, the perfect recipe for a cocktail recipe blog (is that a pun?).  Anyway f irst up is a cocktail named after it's deserty forefather, Mango Sticky Rice a popular desert in Thailand which now comes in a handy drinkable form.     What you'll need: 2 oz.
