It’s already been a great summer in the UK, with the England’s Lioness’ winning the Women’s Euros 2022 , and a successful week at the Common Wealth Games , it’s time for the return of one of the Uk’s biggest events… The Fringe Festival Edinburgh! After a tough couple of years gambling with Covid, The Ladyboys are thrilled to be returning to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year on 6 th August, with their newest show: Summer of Fun! 1998 was the year it all began for The Ladyboys, with their first ever performance in Edinburgh, it’s definitely a proud moment as they return for the 24 th year consecutively, and to still be such a hit in Scotland! How did ‘The Fringe’ Festival get its name in Edinburgh? The story of the Fringe Festival dates back to 1947 where 8 theatre groups turned up uninvited to perform at ‘Edinburgh International Festival’ which was originally created to celebrate European cultura...

The Lady Boys of Bangkok is back at the Edinburgh Fringe for the show's 21st year!  So by now, we like to think the Gandey World Class Productions team knows all the best places to visit. In this week's blog, our director Carol Gandey picks some of her favourite things from visiting the Fringe in 2019... The Royal Mile , EH1 1SG The most famous stretch of Edinburgh, and it's most certainly alive and at its best during the Fringe! So many shows to choose from... but obviously The Lady Boys of Bangkok is our favourite! The Lady Boys of Bangkok are currently performing at Fountainbridge in Edinburgh (3rd - 27th August) during the Fringe festival. So here's a little bit about the festival and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo . EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh, hosts the Fringe festival annually for three weeks in August. It's a huge collection of creativity and craftsmanship in entertainment. You can guarantee that there is something you'll enjoy. 2017 had over 50,000 performances of over 3000 shows in over 300 venues. Music, theatre, dance and comedy are the broad categories the festival supports. But you'll also find cabaret, variety shows, events, exhibitions, musicals, opera, physical theatre and even spoken word. Vogue have collated 6 shows not to miss.
