Halloween 2018: Horror we're not sure we could watch...

The build up to 2018's Halloween sure is scary. We've put together all you need to know about the wicked somethings coming your way! Here are the latest nail-biting blockbusters. We've thrown in some television too. Don't leave your television on standby... *crackles

Two of our fabulous performers here at The Lady Boys of Bangkok have already been to see this creepy film. Nat (who's now seen it twice) and Nikki saw in Newcastle...'The Nun'. They haven't been the same since (joke). It's part of The Conjuring universe and we KNOW it's a little bit terrifying.

To set the scene, a young nun commits suicide in a secluded Romanian Abbey. (Not a great start.) The Vatican orders a priest and a novitiate nun on the precipice of her vows to investigate the order's dark truths. Just to add into the mix, there's a demonic nun testing their faith, lives and souls!

You might be able to still catch this in cinemas. Its franchise is over 30 years old. The reptilian clicking sound they make is unforgettable. These formidable hunters have genetically evolved using DNA from different species. Their triggered return to Earth is contested by a squad of ex-soldiers and a biologist.

 The Predator

The 19th of October sees the return of a masked madman. This 70s American slasher classic continues. The knife wielding Michael Myers returns after 40 years of institution incarceration and one bus transfer goes awry. Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) has survived his vicious attack before but this time she's ready to face this monster head on.

Halloween 2018

This is our bohemian pick: Suspiria. Luca Guadagnino, known for directing 'Call Me By Your Name' has payed homage to the 1977 original with this 2018 "remake." This amazon studios exclusive is available on the 26th October.

An artistic director from a world-class dance company, a young new addition to the troupe and a grieving psychotherapist are embroiled in this nightmare that even Quentin Tarantino wept with joy over.

Now we've given you a taste of this year's cinema chillers. We can't leave without reminding you of the return of American Horror Story. It's season 8: Apocalypse. Over the autumn we can watch development in the shelter. It seems life in the shelter might be worth braving exposure to the fallout.

Season 9 of The Walking Dead is back 7th October too. One more apocalypse for you to bet back into!
