October's Top Picks

Image
FILM October is now here. Leaves are browning and falling off. But this one of our favourite months! We're all looking forward to its trick or treat ending. A "treat" for most is actor Tom Hardy, the "trick" is... he's playing a dark oozy super villain. This is another marvel film with a slightly darker feel. This black tar/slime/goo is an alien symbiote that fuses with Hardy forming a grotesque Spider-Man antihero: 'Venom' . Venom You must check out some of posters and artwork for this film, they're amazing. Venom lends himself to satisfying splatters of ink. Perhaps the web slinging saviour will make a cameo? WeAre#Venom Johnny English: Strikes Again is our comedy pick if you're one to avoid spooky October. The British buffoon is back for a third instalment. Rowan Atkinson reprises his role as the secret agent who resembles most British politicians than a Bond spoof. Firing missiles at French cyclists, accident

Image
Did you see what (we think) was easily the most epic moment of New York Fashion Week this year? All our Disney dreams – which were ironically, also our childhood nightmares – came true as The Blonds revealed their Disney Villains -inspired couture on the catwalk. There were devilishly beautiful and diva-ish takes on Snow White’s Evil Queen, Sleeping Beauty’s Maleficent and 101 Dalmatians’ Cruella De Vil. But the ultimate mic drop moment was the absolutely slaying trans model Leiomy Maldonado in a Little Mermaid’s Ursula-esque leotard number. Known as the ‘Wonder Woman of Vogue’  Leiomy stunned the FROW , and the internet, by performing an incredible dip in Louboutins at the end of the catwalk.
