Gandeys Spring Tour 2019

Round up Round up!
Gandeys Circus has had a phenomenal 2019 spring tour! We have delivered you our 'Greatest Show' yet to 11 venues across they UK already this year. We have taken a few of our best bits throughout this year's production and want to remind you how much YOUR circus gives back to the community. Together, we love to get involved, and help local causes that mean the most to you.

The Greatest Show Tour!

'You've never seen anything like it!'

Aintree
The tour started with full momentum. Those who saw us beside Aintree Racecourse will remember the exclusive acts, the spectacular Duo Garcia and the Garcia brothers!

These brothers were bendy beyond belief!

Newcastle-under-Lyme
This year we performed in the home of the original ringmaster: Philip Astley! From one circus legend to another, we invited and shared 73rd birthday celebrations with the marvellous Neil Baldwin... AKA...Nello the Clown!

Once a clown, always a clown!

Knutsford
From our opening night until our last day, Gandey's Circus is always busy but we still have time for YOU. We put together a special circus workshop for over 70 local (Navajo) Beavers, (6th Knutsford) Brownies and (1st Mobberley) Guides. Where better to learn circus skills?

Just look how excited they were!

Even on our last day we do our best! Below, you can see the mighty African warriors helping keep The Heath clean. They joined Friends of the Heath for their Great British Spring Clean.

Ellesmere Port
Just before we moved to Ellesmere Port, a baby was born! We shared this exciting time just before our Ringmaster Joel said goodbye.
Taking the reins for Isle of Man was our Ringmaster Ryan!

Isle of Man
What a heart-thumping act we brought you this year: The Globe of Death! Our theatre big top was just opposite the IOMTT It was only fitting to share a press call with an off-road riding four times World Enduro and four times AMA champion! What a privilege it was too.

Edinburgh
Bunnies and bras were the two main themes with Gandeys over in Edinburgh over Easter. We even received some Easter treats from YOU our fabulous audience members. As apart of the 10th World Circus Day, we joined with Walk the Walk. Fantastic aerialist Jacqui showcased these beautiful bras and modeled them together with sister Gina.

Cumbria (Penrith and Kendal)
We also like to keep you updated with the Gandeys themselves. Here's little Joe at Penrith castle. He is fifth generation Gandey and lucky to have all the love from the Gandey Circus family. What a legacy he can look forward to and 'long may that last' said an old friend: Garry Stevenson.

Garry's father (Noe-Noe) and Garry were clowns in a comedy-juggling act. We can barely believe it has been over thirty years since Garry was a part of Gandeys Circus. He now works with G and S Specialist Timber and his wife Joy owns Alpaca Clothing co. He was thoroughly excited to see our production this year. We hope it gave him that much needed nostalgia!

Arclid
How fortunate we were this year. Gandeys Circus had the pleasure of performing to you live from our ancestral. YOUR circus was YOUR LOCAL circus. Bob Gandey breaking down in Brereton during the 1920s gave the Gandeys, to this day, a central hub for family, friends and artistes alike.

A local Cheshire artist came and captured the circus on canvas. They are brilliant! You can check all of James Anderson Rogers creations on Instagram.

Channel Islands (Guernsey and Jersey)
Through careful and meticulous planning, we bring you the best entertainment across seas. We came to visit two very welcoming Islands between us and our beau neighbours: France! Did you hear us over the wireless? Thank you to BBC radio Guernsey and Jersey for interviewing the Gandeys cast! Just look at Amiri, even in smart-casual for the studio, he has been dedicated to impress!

Thank you and see you in summer!
We want to say a huge thank you to all those who have come to see our production this year and this includes the fantastic independent charities and causes that have partnered with us. GANDEYS CIRCUS 'The Greatest Show Tour' continues at our 3 Butlin's venues from mid-JULY until the beginning of SEPTEMBER. See you soon Skegness, Minehead and Bognor Regis!

The "Boys" are back in town!

...and if you find yourself in BRISTOL over JUNE, the dazzling Divas are back! Their coming of age tour means a celebration of the UK's number one touring cabaret show. 2019 marks our 21st anniversary. They are undeniably the Greatest showgirls!
