A pick of our favourites from this years Victoria's Secret Fashion Show...

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, arguably the biggest fashion event of the year, took place last night in New York and it. was. FABulous. Well, the pictures looked fabulous. We, of course, had invites but, sadly, had to decline as we're currently glamming it up with the people of Belfast on Custom House Square.


We did, however, find time between shows to admire the beautiful clothes and amazing acts - so here's a pick of what we loved at this years Victoria's Secret Show.

This year marked the 20th anniversary of the fashion extravaganza and they certainly celebrated in style...ba dum tss...the show involved 47 beautiful catwalk models, saw the début of 10 new Angels and even included some famous faces such as Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner - who both looked amazing!

The next bra worn by the BEAuutiful Lily Aldridge is worth a huuuuuuuuuuge amount of money. It is dubbed Fantasy Bra which is a unique jewel encrusted lingerie displayed at at each years event. This years was worth a staggering $2 million and, like something out of the one of the Lady Boys of Bangkok wildest diamanté dreams, it features 6500 precious gems including diamonds.

Not only were jaw dropping fashion on show, there was also performances by the amazing Selena Gomez (who could have been mistaken for one of the models in her breathtaking black dress), Britain's own Ellie Goulding and current chart topper The Weeknd.

We LOVE reading about this annual event and you can be sure to see some VSFS inspired outfits in next years productions!

We're kind of sad we didn't go now...always next year ;) xoxo

Origins of the Chinese Circus

There are debates and differing opinions when it comes to the exact history behind the circus, which is not a surprise when you take into account how long it has been around! First records of the Chinese circus - including carvings and mural paintings - date back more than 2,000 years to the Warring States period (475–221 BC), with evidence of performances developing further during the Qin and Han Dynasties (221 BC - 230 AD). Although it is believed that the art may have actually started around 3,000 years ago! One theory is that the acts originated in imperial courts, with performers entertaining the houses in a manner similar to western court jesters.
