Celebrating Circus in 'Carlo The 43rd Monte Carlo International Circus Festival began on the 17th January and will continue until the 27th. Here are a few quick facts about the famous festival. - It all began... in 1974 by the late H.S.H. The Prince Rainier III of Monaco (1923-2005). He wanted to promote the art of circus by giving spectators entertainment and the chance to appreciate this 'family of underestimated people.' - H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie... continues her father's work to this day.
