Gandeys Circus is returning to the UK in 2018! With incredible shows at Aintree Racecourse and Knutsford to kick off the tour!

It’s being hailed as the biggest and most spectacular circus production the UK has ever seen! GANDEY’S – YOUR CIRCUS is making an eagerly-anticipated return in 2018 with a brand new action-packed, star-studded Big Top show for all the family – and no increase in ticket prices!

Gandeys Circus will be smashing expectations and raising the bar sky-high in 2018. The only thing higher, in fact, will be the amazing assemblage of aerial acts that will be soaring above audiences in the roof of the Big Top!

There will be thrills aplenty with three world-class aerial talents:
  • Sensational, award-winning high-wire walkers The Gerlings will be forming a human pyramid four-persons high! An act that won medals at both the International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo and the Wuqiao International Circus Festival in 2017.
  • The jaw-dropping trapeze routines of the Cuban Flyers as they attempt the legendary near-impossible triple somersault.
  • Hold on to your seats… as four high-speed motorbikes roar around the inside of a gigantic steel mesh globe in a phenomenal act that could only be known as The Globe of Death.



The excitement doesn’t end once the artistes are back on solid ground. The entertainment comes thick and fast with award-winning high-speed juggling like you’ve never seen before; the adrenaline-fuelled action of the Kenyan Acrobats’ African spectacular as they tumble, somersault, balance and limbo; unimaginable feats of raw superhuman power from Uzbekistan’s Strongest Man as he pulls a car… with his teeth; the hilarious escapades of Europe’s leading female clown Andreea Delbosq, creating mayhem and laughter to the delight of audiences nationwide; lavish, glittering musical routines to rival West End productions; and much, much more, proudly presented by Hayley and Mariska Gandey – the fourth generation of the Gandey family’s circus dynasty!

All staged in a 1,500-seat state of the art Big Top – fully heated and equipped with theatre-standard lighting and sound.

For the first time a host of the world’s leading circus performers from Colombia, Cuba, Kenya, France, Portugal, Uzbekistan and the UK come together in one amazing production as GANDEYS CIRCUS celebrates Circus250 – the 250th anniversary of the creation of circus. An English art-form that spread all over the globe. The brain-child of Phillip Astley, a retired British Cavalryman from Stoke on Trent – circus has flourished for two and a half centuries, and continues to influence every type of entertainment – from Rock concerts to ballet and from classic theatre to Hollywood movies.


We will be at Aintree Racecourse from Friday 9th to Sunday 25th February 2018, and at The Big Heath in Knutsford from Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th March 2018.

Fans of the hit TV show Geordie Shore will be pleased to see the return of their favourite stars of the North tonight, for yet another series! It's the 5th time on the small screen for the 'toon army'  this time showcasing fun and frolics on their stag and hen adventures. There are debates and differing opinions when it comes to the exact history behind the circus, which is not a surprise when you take into account how long it has been around! First records of the Chinese circus - including carvings and mural paintings - date back more than 2,000 years to the Warring States period (475–221 BC), with evidence of performances developing further during the Qin and Han Dynasties (221 BC - 230 AD). Although it is believed that the art may have actually started around 3,000 years ago!
